Confession: I’m a terrible hoarder… I get senselessly attached to things and find it difficult to throw stuff away. But now, thanks to sashiko, I’ve learned how to restore old clothes, create new ones without buying more, and even saved several pieces of furniture which would have otherwise been hidden away because I couldn’t bear to throw them out.

I learnt to cycle this year (finally!) and spend a lot of time riding through the parks, surrounded by towering evergreens with strange parasitic shrubs hanging from their wooden limbs. These odd sightings take root in my mind, and I start to imagine what they really are and how they got there....
