A bandana, a towel, or a piece of art?

As a person who wanders into a homeware store just because I caught a glimpse of a printed fabric, my answer is... I don’t care~

Every time I travel, one purchase I always make is a piece of printed fabric. It could be a scarf or towel or handkerchief, and most times I end up giving them away as gift wraps. It’s the gift that keeps giving.

So, creating the tenugui series was a no-brainer and building patterns with two of my favourite drawing elements was THE best~

If you know me by now, you’ll know I’m all about imperfection in my art. The tenugui were hand-dyed using the chusen technique in Japan, which means no two pieces are exactly the same.

Each tenugui also comes with an instructional zine, hand-numbered and stamped with the motif used.

You can find the Dots and Lines Tenugui at our online store.
