Started drawing Oddjects 10 months ago as a daily practice, and I'm happy to say I've completed 100 hand-drawn pieces! This series didn’t start off easy. Are the ideas too childish? Does this look dumb? Are the drawings ugly? These were the questions playing in my head like a soundtrack on loop.
But with each new Oddject, as this odd little world grew, a tiny spark of hope lit up every day. Maybe… I can do this. The big shift came when I started drawing on paper. The practice was harder, less forgiving. Moving from the iPad to pen and paper meant mistakes could only be fixed by starting over, which brought a new wave of anxiety. But completing a physical piece felt so much more rewarding than the digital version. It felt real~
Completing the collection doesn’t make me a pro. Noooo… I’ve still got a long way to go. But it is proof that no matter how uncomfortable or difficult the path is, not giving up is worth celebrating (yay me~!).
