Yep, that’s me~!
My name’s Germaine (or Shu, when I’m making things), and once upon a time, I dreamed of going to art school to learn how to create my own art. But alas, art schools didn’t think I had it in me—I was rejected twice. So, I ended up in film school instead, where I learned a different way of telling stories. After graduating, I co-founded a design studio.
Nothing went according to plan.
Every day, there’s something new to learn (or re-learn), from making videos and taking photos to crafting figurines and building with wood.
I hope to use this space to record and share humble ideas and the simple methods I’ve used to make things, so a future “me” might not be discouraged from taking the first step in doing something different.
