Talismans promise protection and blessings. Carried to heal, attract good fortune, or ward off bad luck. Non- (無符) does none of that. A talisman assumes a self worth protecting. These are mirrors instead. The self was never the thing that needed protecting, because there was no self to protect, and nothing to protect it from.
